These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Cloud 9 Tutoring, and by booking a lesson, you confirm your agreement with the following terms. Any variation to these terms must be agreed in writing by Cloud 9 Tutoring.
In these Terms and Conditions:
- “Cloud 9 Tutoring” refers to the business and all tutors acting on its behalf.
- “Client” refers to the parent, guardian, or individual who books and/or pays for the lesson.
1. Booking and Payment
- All online tutoring sessions must be booked directly through the Cloud 9 Tutoring website, using the tutor-specific booking links.
- Each online lesson costs £50, which includes a 55-minute session, a personalised report, and post-lesson invoice.
- Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Failure to pay may result in a pause in future sessions.
- In-person sessions and package deals are only available by direct arrangement via phone or email and are subject to separate payment and confirmation terms.
2. Lesson Confirmation and Communication
- A booking confirmation email will be sent immediately after a session is booked.
Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive this.
- Session details, including links and timings, will be included in this email.
Cloud 9 Tutoring is not responsible for missed sessions due to the client not accessing this information.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given:
- The full lesson fee will still be charged.
- Exceptions may be made in the event of emergencies, at the discretion of Cloud 9 Tutoring.
If a tutor must cancel or reschedule, you will be offered:
- A rescheduled time,
- A replacement tutor,
- Or a full refund, depending on your preference.
4. Refund Policy
Refunds will only be issued in the following circumstances:
- A lesson is cancelled by the tutor and a rescheduled time cannot be agreed.
- A package deal or in-person session is cancelled more than 48 hours before the first scheduled lesson.
No refunds will be issued for missed lessons due to client non-attendance or failure to notify us within the cancellation window.
5. Client Responsibility and Conduct
- Clients are responsible for ensuring the student attends the session on time.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the session ending early, with no refund issued.
- Lessons are to be conducted in a safe, respectful, and appropriate environment, especially for in-person sessions.
6. Force Majeure
Cloud 9 Tutoring is not liable for failure to deliver services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Internet outages,
- Tutor illness,
- Natural disasters,
- Acts of war or terrorism.
In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or offer an alternative solution.
7. Personal Liability and Authority
If a booking is made on behalf of a student by a parent, guardian, or organisation, the individual making the booking confirms they have the authority to act on the student’s behalf and accept responsibility for all payments and conduct.
8. Tutor Qualifications and Responsibility
All Cloud 9 tutors are carefully selected and are university undergraduates with recent experience of GCSEs and A-levels. While every effort is made to ensure high-quality tuition, Cloud 9 Tutoring does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.
9. Agreement to Terms
By booking a lesson with Cloud 9 Tutoring, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
