ABOUT TYLER 

I have been tutoring for over three years. Academically, I achieved 8 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s at GCSE and A* (History), A* (EPQ), A (Politics), and A (Maths) at A-level. I am continuing my studies at King’s College London in History and International Relations. With over 500 hours of tutoring experience, I have helped students make significant progress, such as a Year 11 student who improved from predicted 4s and 5s to 7s and 8s in History, Maths, and Biology. I tailor my lessons to each student, using engaging strategies to ensure effective learning and retention.Outside of academics I love to play badminton and tennis. I also love to bake, running a baking business during lockdown !

ABOUT CADEN 

Hi! I’m Caden and I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but I have been studying in the UK for the past 6 years. I’m currently a student at Imperial College London studying an Msci Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry degree, which means that on top of all this pure science, I get to learn about how drugs work and how we find new and more effective medicine. Outside my degree I’ve continued to learn Spanish (from GCSEs) and have just completed a B2 level course! At other times, you will probably find me somewhere near the theatre or union building helping out with some tech and backstage since the crew side of DramSoc at Imperial can get quite busy! And although I’m not very good at it, I also quite enjoy playing squash with friends every week.

ABOUT JAMES

 I’m a first-year Physics undergraduate student at Imperial College London, with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics. I achieved A*s in A-level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, and I’m now keen to help others succeed in these subjects at both GCSE and A-level.

I offer tailored, engaging lessons that focus on building deep understanding as well as effective exam strategies. I’m most familiar with the OCR syllabuses, and having recently completed these courses myself, I understand the common challenges students face and how to tackle them with confidence.

Outside of academics, I’m also a keen musician, holding four Grade 8s and a diploma with distinction in the Clarinet.

ABOUT JOSH

Hi, I’m Josh, and I’ve lived in the UK my whole life. I’m currently a Mathematics student at the University of Birmingham, where I’m gaining a much deeper understanding of Maths than I’ve ever had, and I’m eager to use this to aid my tutoring skills. I achieved an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths at A Level, and I know how challenging these subjects can be without the right support. When not studying, I enjoy board games, strategy games and social deduction games, and I am an active member of Birmingham’s tabletop gaming society where I often run larger social games. ABOUT JADEN

Hi everyone!! My name is Jaden Shapiro, and I tutor Mathematics for years 7-13. I am currently an undergraduate student, studying Mathematics and Statistical Science at UCL. 

I have teaching experience, tutoring 4 clients over the last couple of  years. 

From my past experience, I have found that with just a little guidance, students can grow so quickly, mastering one topic at a time, and being a part of that journey is very rewarding. It is also a way of repaying those who have helped me in the past, by paying it forward.

I especially love teaching Mathematics, as it is known to be a difficult subject, but can be very satisfying once you understand it.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, as it allows me to express my creativity through food, and I also like boxing, as it keeps me active, and is great for the mind.

ABOUT RYAN

Hey I'm Ryan, and I'm lucky enough to be studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. I spent a lot of my teenage years playing and dissecting electric guitars and amplifiers, and now I spend most of my time in the electronics lab designing and building my own actual circuits, be it an amplifier, FM radio receiver or even a rover! We also get to learn lots of theory, such as learning the maths involved in signal processing, how a silicon computer chip works or how the national grid supplies power to the entire country. When I'm not in lectures or in the lab, you might find me playing in my band, or working on my next coding project, or even on the squash court with my friends.
